Moser is the first cheerleader to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and is widely regarded as D&E'S greatest cheerleader. He was known as "mister excitement" for the enthusiastic support he created in the stands in support of some of D&E's most successful basketball teams.

  • "John Moser Day" declared by Mayor Henry Dethrow of Cleveland, Tennessee to recognize years of community service and activism, January 7, 1983
