A rare two-sport standout, Donnie MacGregor excelled for both the Davis & Elkins men’s soccer and ski teams, leaving a lasting legacy of athletic versatility and leadership.
On the pitch, MacGregor was a four-year starter and team captain, earning All-Conference recognition each season. His leadership helped guide the Senators to their first winning record in more than a decade, solidifying his place as one of the program’s most influential players of his era.
Equally impressive on the slopes, MacGregor captured four Allegheny Conference titles and consistently placed on the podium at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships, winning the overall title as a junior and the slalom title as a senior. His dominance across both sports earned him D&E Male Athlete of the Year honors as a freshman, along with two Academic All-American selections during his career.
Following graduation, MacGregor pursued professional soccer overseas, competing in Poland, Belgium, Australia, and New Zealand. Today, he continues to stay connected to the sport as a FIFA Licensed Agent and works as a Finance Manager in Ottawa, where he lives with his wife—fellow D&E Hall of Fame inductee Katie MacGregor—and their daughter.
