SERIES HISTORY
  • All-Time Series: Frostburg State leads 1-0
  • Last Meeting: November 29, 2019 – Frostburg State 71, Davis & Elkins 63 | Box Score | Recap
  • How It Happened: Four Frostburg State players eclipsed double figures on the evening, riding their way to a balanced 71-63 win over Davis & Elkins on Tuesday at the McDonnell Center. Despite Jamiyah Johnson's dominant night on the board, a 12-point run by the Bobcats in the first frame gave them an early lead the Bobcats held through most of the game.

JOHNSON CLIMBING UP D&E RECORD BOOKS WITH STELLAR CAMPAIGN
  • Junior F Jamiyah Johnson has had a stellar season as a junior for the Senators, and her production has her name throughout the program's record book. Securing 10 or more rebounds in 20 straight contests, Johnson has set a new single season rebounding record with 396, previously passing Erin Smulski (1995-96) for most all-time.
  • Johnson has grabbed 728 rebounds in her career, moving to fourth all-time in school history, and passing Wendy Fox (1985-89).
  • The junior forward leads the team in scoring average (18.8) and rebounding (15.2). She is second nationally in rebounding average, just behind Wheeling's Lily Ritz, and leads all of NCAA DII basketball in offensive rebounds/game (6.4).
  • Johnson leads the nation with 23 double-doubles this season, securing at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in 21 consecutive contests. She is second all-time in consecutive double-doubles among NCAA DII women's players, with the record at 24.

DAVIS & ELKINS NOTES
  • Davis & Elkins leads the conference in rebounding margin, holding a +8.1 advantage on the glass.
  • Sydney Nestor is second on the team at 10.6 points/game and 6.7 rebounds/game. She is one of only two players to have played and started in all 26 games this season.
  • Jay Kilpatrick (9.4 PPG) and Peyton Mohler (9.2 PPG) each average around 10 points/game for the Senators in a balanced scoring output aside from Johnson. Mohler is fifth in the conference with 97 made free-throws.
  • With 16 points last time out against Glenville State, Mohler tied a career high set previously on December 14 against Urbana.
  • Jessica Eadsforth-Yates had 13 points in the first meeting with Frostburg State this season, converting three times from beyond the arc.

SCOUTING FROSTBURG STATE
  • Frostburg looks to snap a five-game skid as the regular season winds down.
  • Frostburg State is paced by a pair of seniors offensively, led by Amanda Emory (13.6 PPG, 7.4 RPG) and Victoria Diggs (13.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG).
  • Head coach Carrie Saunders is in her sixth year at the helm of the Bobcats, transitioning to the head role after serving as a graduate assistant.
  • Diggs canned five treys in the first meeting against the Senators on her way to 19 points in a win in Elkins last November.
  • Opponents are shooting 41.7% from the floor against the Bobcats this season.
