The Senators (2-23, 1-18 MEC) struggled early, managing just 19 points in the first half as Frostburg State (18-9, 12-7 MEC) built a comfortable lead. The Bobcats took control with a strong defensive presence, forcing 16 turnovers and capitalizing on fast-break opportunities.
Jahniya Marion led the way for the Senators, finishing with a team-high 15 points, including three three-pointers. LaChazity Shaver added eight points and six rebounds, while Alexis Smith contributed six points and a team-high four assists.
D&E showed resilience in the second half, outscoring Frostburg State 35-32 after the break, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome. The Senators shot 29% from the field, compared to 39% for the Bobcats, and were outrebounded 51-38.
