Box Score ELKINS, W.Va. — Kylie Morris was locked in from the start Saturday, scoring 28 points in 28 minutes, but Davis & Elkins came up short in a 92–85 matchup with Frostburg State at the McDonnell Center.
Morris finished 11 of 13 from the field and added five rebounds and two steals, giving the Senators steady production all afternoon. Her scoring helped D&E stay within reach as the game bounced between single- and double-digit margins for most of the second half.
After trailing 43–35 at halftime, the Senators came out with energy in the third quarter. Jahniya Marion knocked down a pair of shots early, and Briyanna Sapp scored in transition as D&E forced several turnovers to build momentum. Frostburg State, however, answered with second-chance points and free throws to maintain control.
D&E kept pushing late. Sapp added another fast-break finish, Marion buried a timely three, and Morris powered in two more baskets at the rim to pull the Senators closer. D&E outscored Frostburg State 26–23 in the fourth, but the Bobcats' steady free-throw shooting down the stretch kept the game just out of reach.
Marion finished with 14 points and three assists. Sapp added 15 points and three steals, and Kaitlyn Parker contributed 10 points, including two threes. The Senators' bench was strong, combining for 39 points.
Frostburg State was led by Jenna Muha's 23 points and 11 rebounds and Julie Spinelli's 21 points.
D&E returns home Wednesday, Dec. 10, to host Salem University at 5:30 p.m. at the McDonnell Center.
