ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College women's basketball team makes the short trip to Buckhannon Saturday afternoon to battle West Virginia Wesleyan in their final regular season Mountain East Conference game. The Senators need a win and loss by Frostburg State to qualify for the MEC tournament next week in Wheeling. Frostburg hosts Fairmont State Saturday. D&E is coming over an impressive senior night win over Frostburg State Wednesday night.
Dream Cherry paces the Senators with 16 points per game.
Marissa Berlin averages a double-double on the season with 12.9 ppg and 10.3 rebounds.
Peyton Mohler scores 12.6 ppg and grabs six rebounds. Senior
Allie Taylor has been shooting the ball well of late. Taylor averages 9.2 ppg and 4.5 rebounds.
WVWC is led by Symphonie Bryant-Brown. Bryant-Brown averages 11.2 ppg followed by Courtney Wilfong 10.8. Ellectra Allembert leads the Bobcats in rebounds with seven per contest.
D&E enters the contest 7-19 overall and 4-17 in the MEC.
Wesleyan enters 3-21 overall and 1-20 in the league.
Tip-off is slated for 2:00pm inside the Rockefeller Center.
