ELKINS, W.Va. – Coach
Rachel Swartz's women's basketball team plays host to the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets tonight. The Senators are coming off a 62-53 win at Wheeling this past Saturday.
West Virginia State travels to Elkins with a 12-5 overall and 8-4 Mountain East Conference record.
The Jackets are led by Destiny Fields. Fields averages 11.6 points per game, she is followed by Charity Shears 10.8 and Shelby Harmeyer 9.8.
Davis & Elkins enters the contest 5-13 overall and 2-11 in the MEC.
Dream Cherry leads D&E in scoring with an average of 16.7 ppg.
Marissa Berlin averages 12.6 ppg and 10.3 rebounds.
Peyton Mohler has been on a roll of late, averaging 17 points the last two games. Mohler averages 10 ppg on the year followed by
Allie Taylor 7.1.
Tip-off is set for 6:00pm inside the McDonnell Center.
