ELKINS, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College women's basketball team travels north this Saturday to take on Wheeling University in a Mountain East Conference contest.
D&E enters with an overall record of 4-13, they are 1-11 in MEC play.
The Senators are led by
Dream Cherry. Cherry a freshman from Akron, Ohio averages 16.5 points per game.
Marissa Berlin is averaging a double-double on the season with 12.5 ppg and 10.5 rebounds.
Peyton Mohler is coming off a season high 18 points Wednesday night vs West Liberty. Mohler averages 9.6 ppg and grabs five rebounds per contest.
Wheeling is led by Lauren Calhoun. Calhoun currently leads the MEC in scoring with an average of 19.5 ppg. Calhoun's 10.6 rebounds a game puts her fourth in the league. Shanley Woods averages 10.4 points per game.
The Cardinals are 5-11 overall and 5-7 in the conference.
Tip-off is set for 2:00pm inside the McDonough Center.
