ELKINS, W.Va. – Highlighted by nine regular season home games at Nuttall Field, Davis & Elkins Director of Soccer
Dean Johnson announced the 2021 schedule for the women's soccer program.
After competing in an abbreviated soccer season this past spring and just missing out on a spot in the conference tournament, the Senators will return to a traditional 17-match schedule this fall. Entering their third year as members of the Mountain East Conference (MEC), the Senators will kick off the season with a home scrimmages against Potomac State on August 19 and Southwest Virginia CC on August 24.
Johnson has lined up a non-conference game, coming against Mercyhurst on September 4, to start up the season and prepare the Senators for their 16-game conference run in hopes to make it to the conference tournament.
D&E faces their first conference opponent Wednesday, September 15 on the road against Charleston (W.Va.) and will alternate home and road games for the next two matches. They host Glenville State (Sep. 25) and rival WV Wesleyan (Sep. 29), looking for revenge from last year's regular-season finale, before getting back on the road to play Frostburg at the beginning of October.
The Senators finish the October stretch with three home events, welcoming WV State (Oct. 24), Charleston (W.Va.) (Oct. 2) and Wheeling (Oct. 30). D&E completes its regular season with two away games against West Liberty (Nov. 3) and rival WV Wesleyan one more time before the postseason.
