BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. —  Sachiko Gamo and Madison Rose earned all-conference recognition from the Mountain East Conference (MEC) for the Fall 2021 season, the league announced Tuesday. 

Gamo nabbed second-team All-MEC accolades in addition to a spot on the All-MEC Freshman Team, while Rose earned All-MEC Honorable Mention laurels for the Senators. 

Gamo scored five goals and added an assist in seventeen starts for D&E, collecting the game-winner against West Liberty on November 3rd. Gamo was the only freshman in the conference to earn First or Second Team honors.

Rose found the back of the net three times while dishing out five assists in seventeen starts for D&E. 

After a slow start, Davis & Elkins found its footing as the season progressed, just missing the conference tournament in the Fall campaign.

Concord's Yasmin Mosby earned Offensive Player of the Year, and teammate Morgan Carmichael claimed Defensive Player of the Year honors. Frostburg State's Cat Smith was recognized as the MEC Freshman of the Year, and CU head coach Luke Duffy was selected as the league's Coach of the Year.

The All-MEC teams are selected by a vote of the league's coaches.
