Frostburg, Md. -- The Senators rolled to a 19-point victory to improve to 1-1, beating Pitt-Johnstown in the final game of the Jim Crawley Conference Challenge held on the campus of Frostburg State University.
Davis & Elkins led 23-16 after the first period and never looked back. Scoring 16-points off turnovers, 19-points from second chances, and 23-points off the bench, the Senators adjusted after their opening day loss to earn the statement victory.
D&E had three players score double-digit points.
Dream Cherry led the scoring with 21 points, followed by
Marissa Berlin with 20, and
Allie Taylor with 16.
Marissa Berlin had an outstanding game as she recorded a double-double, with 20 points and 22 rebounds. Ten of the 22 rebounds came on the offensive side, contributing to those 19 second chance points.
