BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. - Brianna Rose of the Davis & Elkins women's soccer team had her overtime game-winning tally against Wheeling nominated for the 2019-20 MEC Play of the Year.

Rose's game-winner, the first goal of her career, came in the 100th minute on November 2 at Wheeling after she slotted the ball into the left side of the cage following a deflection. The goal staved off a Wheeling comeback attempt after the Cardinals struck for three goals in the second half to force overtime.
Voting for Play of the Year ends Friday, May 29 with the winner announced on Monday, June 1.
