JOHNSON CLIMBING UP D&E RECORD BOOKS WITH STELLAR CAMPAIGN
  • Junior F Jamiyah Johnson has had a stellar season as a junior for the Senators, and her production has her name throughout the program's record book. Securing 10 or more rebounds in 19 straight contests, Johnson has set a new single season rebounding record with 367, previously passing Erin Smulski (1995-96) for most all-time.
  • Johnson has grabbed 699 rebounds in her career, moving to sixth all-time in school history, and passing Courtney Pawlak (2004-08).
  • The junior forward leads the team in scoring average (19.0) and rebounding (15.3). She is second nationally in rebounding average, just behind Wheeling's Lily Ritz, and leads all of NCAA DII basketball in offensive rebounds/game (6.4). She is also seventh in the league in scoring.
  • Johnson leads the nation with 21 double-doubles this season, securing at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in 19 consecutive contests.

DAVIS & ELKINS NOTES
  • With just four games left, D&E enters the week positioned ninth in the MEC standings. The top 10 teams in the league make the tournament, and the final two games are against teams below D&E in the standings. However, the next two games are against teams that occupy two of the top four spots in the league.
  • Davis & Elkins has been strong defensively over the last three games, holding opponents to an average of 71.6 points/game against three of the top six scoring offenses in the league.
  • Sydney Nestor is the second D&E player to average double digits at 10.5 points/game. Nestor is also the team's second-leading rebounder at 6.7 rebounds/game.
  • D&E ranks 17th nationally in rebounding margin (+8.8) and offensive rebounds/game (16.0).
  • Jay Kilpatrick stuffed the stat sheet last Saturday in a Senior Day win against West Virginia State, recording 16 points, four rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 33 minutes. The seven assists marked a new career high, coming in her 107th collegiate contest.
  • Peyton Mohler went 4-of-5 at the foul line, part of her eight points against WVSU. Mohler is fifth in the MEC with 81 made free throws and seventh in attempts.
  • The Senators were held to a season-low 47 points in the first meeting with Concord this season.
  • Five of the Senators' seven wins this season have come inside the McDonnell Center.

SCOUTING CONCORD
  • Concord roared back from a halftime deficit, outscoring West Liberty 47-28 in the final 20 minutes during a 79-68 road win last time out.
  • Madison May is the team's leading scorer at 21.2 points/game, ranking just outside the top 10 nationally.
  • Riley Fitzwater was named the MEC Player of the Week on February 17 after posting 19 points, 17 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game while shooting 55.1 percent (16-for-29) from field in two games.
  • Fitzwater averages a double-double for the Mountain Lions and leads the nation with 95 blocks this season. She is also the nation's leader in field goal percentage, converting 67.4% of her shots this season.
  • Concord is stout on the defensive end, holding opponents to 68.7 points/game, good for second in the league. The Mountain Lions are first in the MEC in blocked shots/game (5.2) and defensive rebounds/game (30.2), while also committing the fewest fouls in the league with 381.
