Davis & Elkins opens their home schedule, taking on first year PSAC member Shepherd in the first showdown between the two schools since 2013. Shepherd is off to a hot start on the season, bringing a 3-0 record to the McDonnell Center on Saturday, while the Senators are looking for win number one on the season.

DAVIS & ELKINS NOTES  
  • This is the first meeting between the two schools since a 74-56 D&E victory in February 2013.
  • Jay Kilpatrick had one of the most potent offensive outputs of her career in the loss to Mansfield, scoring 20 points.
  • Jamiyah Johnson showed what made her a strong force in the post last season, finishing with 18 points and 16 rebounds for a double-double against Mansfield. 
  • Tailyn Silver was the leading scorer in Wednesday's exhibition against Division I Cleveland State, finishing with nine points. 
SCOUTING SHEPHERD
  • The Rams are 3-0 on the young season, with wins over Fayetteville State, Virginia State, and Lincoln all at home.
  • Shepherd features three players averaging double figures in scoring, led by freshman Abby Beeman's 20.0 points per game.
  • Junior guard Marley McLaughlin is averaging 18.7 points per game, and junior Sydney Clayton, a second-team All-MEC selection in 2018-19, leads the team in rebounds and blocks.
  • Shepherd is coached by fifth year Head Coach Jenna Eckleberry, who enters the game with a 51-72 career record.
