ROANOKE, W.Va. — The Davis & Elkins College men's golf team tied for sixth while the Senators' B team finished 11th at the Dr. Wally Edgell Invitational, hosted by Davis & Elkins Monday and Tuesday at Stonewall Resort.

The Senators' A team finished with a three-round total of 41 over par, tying Charleston's B team for sixth place in the 17-team field.

Lucio Pavicich led the Senators with a 10th-place finish at 3 over par. Pavicich carded a final-round 77 (+5) to finish with a 219 total.

Isaac Gregson finished tied for 29th at 10 over par, followed by Wouter Vondeling and Justin Charlebois, who both tied for 42nd and 49th, respectively. Vondeling finished at 15 over par, while Charlebois finished at 18 over par. Santiago Dedyn rounded out the D&E A team in 70th place at 26 over par.

Charlebois posted the lowest final-round score for the A team with a 76 (+4), while Pavicich and Vondeling each carded a 77. Gregson finished with a 79 and Dedyn shot an 82.

The D&E B team finished 11th at 73 over par.

Hugo Mayorga led the B team, tying for 25th at 9 over par. Luke Grilliot and Jaime Regan both tied for 42nd at 15 over par, while Zack Moore finished 81st at 35 over par. Thomas Davies placed 94th at 54 over par.

Mayorga and Grilliot each carded a final-round 78 (+6), followed by Moore with an 80, Regan with an 83 and Davies with a 91.

Competing as an individual, Dillon Dunz finished 88th at 41 over par after posting an 85 (+13) in the final round.

Glenville State's A team claimed the team title at 4 over par, followed by Indiana (Pa.) at 10 over par and Bluefield State at 23 over par.

UP NEXT

The Senators return to action Sept. 23-24 at the TJU Invitational in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The tournament will be hosted by Thomas Jefferson University at Jeffersonville Golf Club.
