ATHENS, W.Va. — The Davis & Elkins College volleyball team wrapped up the Concord Classic with a pair of matches Saturday at the Carter Center, falling to Elizabeth City State, 3-0, before dropping a 3-0 decision to Bluefield State.

Elizabeth City State 3, Davis & Elkins 0

The Senators opened the day against Elizabeth City State, falling 25-19, 25-18 and 25-16.

Braelyn Brenneman led the Senators with eight kills while Kaylee Vanjo and Aliceya Ciftcioglu each added six. Brenneman also recorded a team-high five blocks.

Liene Dujin finished with 25 assists, while Neve Norris paced the defensive effort with 15 digs. Ciftcioglu added 10 digs, and Taylor Demankowski finished with six.

D&E totaled 29 kills, five aces, six blocks, 26 assists and 53 digs in the match.

Bluefield State 3, Davis & Elkins 0

D&E closed out the tournament against Bluefield State, falling 25-16, 25-14 and 25-18.

Vanjo led the Senators with seven kills, followed by Alexandra Mattey with five and Jezabel Bernard with four. Vanjo also added a pair of blocks, while Khayla Garrett recorded two blocks.

Dujin tallied 21 assists to lead the Senators, while Norris recorded nine digs. Demankowski and Dujin each added six digs.

The Senators finished the match with 21 kills, five aces, three blocks, 21 assists and 38 digs.
