ELKINS, W.Va. — Davis & Elkins softball junior Sammie Jarvis has been named to the All-Mountain East Conference Second Team as a pitcher, the league announced ahead of the 2026 MEC Softball Championship.

Jarvis played a pivotal role for the Senators throughout the 2026 season, appearing in 32 games in the circle and serving as the team's primary arm. She totaled 161 strikeouts on the year and accounted for 10 of Davis & Elkins' 15 wins, finishing the season with a 5.41 earned run average.

Beyond her work in the circle, Jarvis also made a strong impact at the plate. She posted a .273 batting average while recording eight walks, five home runs, eight doubles, 25 RBIs and 19 runs scored.

The All-Mountain East Conference teams and individual awards were announced on the eve of the 2026 MEC Softball Championship, with selections voted on by the league's 11 head coaches.
