JOHNSTOWN, Pa. — Davis & Elkins men's golf junior Lucio Pavicich delivered one of the most impressive comebacks in the field, surging from a tie for 38th after two rounds to finish tied for ninth at the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Regional at Sunnehanna Country Club.
Competing as an individual, Pavicich carded a three-round total of 5-over-par, highlighted by a remarkable final-round 68 (-2) that propelled him nearly 30 spots up the leaderboard.
After opening the tournament with rounds of 73 (+3) and 74 (+4), Pavicich entered the final day tied for 38th. He responded with one of the lowest rounds of the tournament, putting together a composed and consistent effort that featured multiple birdies and steady play across both nines.
His 68 marked not only his best round of the week, but also one of the strongest closing performances in the field, showcasing his ability to compete under pressure against top regional talent.
Pavicich's climb into the top 10 caps an impressive individual showing at the regional and highlights a strong finish to his postseason run for the Senators.
