ELKINS, W.Va. — Davis & Elkins College women's basketball standout Jahniya Marion has been named All-Mountain East Conference Honorable Mention, the league announced as part of its 2025–26 postseason awards.
Marion earned the recognition after leading the Senators in scoring this season, averaging 13.4 points per game while starting 26 contests. The guard totaled 348 points on the year while also contributing 95 rebounds, 50 assists and 48 steals in 844 minutes played.
Marion reached double figures in scoring in 16 games this season, highlighted by a season-high 28-point performance against West Liberty on Jan. 3. She also posted multiple 20-point performances, including 23 points at West Liberty on Feb. 4 and 22 points against Wheeling on Feb. 7.
In addition to her scoring production, Marion contributed across the stat sheet, averaging 3.7 rebounds per game while finishing among the team leaders in steals.
Concord's Abbie Smith was named the MEC Player of the Year after averaging 18.8 points and a league-best 10.8 rebounds per game. Wheeling's Kenzie Dalton earned Defensive Player of the Year honors for the second straight season, while West Virginia Wesleyan's Kilah Dandridge was named Freshman of the Year. WVWC head coach Brett Vincent was selected as the MEC Coach of the Year.
In addition to the postseason award winners, the conference also recognized All-MEC First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention selections.
