ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins College placed three student-athletes on the 2025 Mountain East Conference All-Conference Tennis Teams, the league office announced Thursday.
Senior Viktor Yanev headlined the list, earning First-Team All-MEC honors after a standout season at the top singles position. The Sofia, Bulgaria native compiled a 15-6 record in singles and 13-5 mark in doubles while climbing as high as No. 47 in the ITA Division II national singles rankings.
On the women's side, a pair of Senators earned Second-Team All-MEC recognition. Junior Liebe Oosthuizen (Oudtshoorn, South Africa) went 10-3 in singles, including wins in eight of her last 10 matches. She posted victories against every conference opponent except perennial power University of Charleston. Oosthuizen also finished 6-7 in doubles play.
Freshman Fabienne Lahn (Blies-Ebersing, France) impressed in her debut season, collecting Second-Team All-MEC honors after going 3-9 in singles and 6-6 in doubles.
The honors cap a strong year of competition for D&E tennis, as the programs continue to make their mark in a competitive MEC field.
