ELKINS, W.Va. – Davis & Elkins College is seeking nominations for its 2025 Athletics Hall of Fame, inviting the community to recognize outstanding contributions to the college's athletic program. Nominations are now open for both former student-athletes and non-athlete contributors who have demonstrated excellence and dedication in their respective roles.

Student-Athletes:
To be considered for induction, student-athlete nominees must have graduated from Davis & Elkins College and been an alumnus or alumna for a minimum of 10 years. These individuals must have participated as varsity student-athletes during their tenure at the college. The Selection Committee will evaluate nominees based on the following criteria:

• Playing Ability: Demonstrated exceptional skill and performance in their sport.
• Integrity: Maintained high ethical standards on and off the field.
• Sportsmanship: Exemplified fair play, respect for opponents, and grace in both victory and defeat.
• Character Contributions: Positively impacted the team and college community through their actions and behavior.
• Leadership: Showed strong leadership qualities and influenced teammates and peers.
• Honors or Recognition: Received accolades and honors for their athletic performance.
• Achievements: Accomplished significant milestones and set records in their sport.
• Post-graduate Work and Service: Continued to make noteworthy contributions in their professional and personal lives after graduation.

Non-Athletes:
Nominations are also open for coaches, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and friends of D&E Athletics who have made outstanding contributions to the athletic program. To be eligible, non-athlete nominees must no longer be associated with the college and have not worked for D&E for a minimum of five years. Coaches, faculty, staff, and administrators must have completed at least four years of service at the college. These nominees will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• Integrity: Demonstrated a strong moral compass and ethical behavior.
• Leadership: Provided visionary guidance and support to the athletic program.
• Character Contributions: Made a positive impact on the college and athletic community through their character and actions.
• Honors or Recognition: Earned respect and accolades for their contributions to the athletic program.
• Achievements at D&E and Beyond: Made significant achievements that have had a lasting impact on the college and beyond.

Davis & Elkins College encourages alumni, faculty, staff, and friends to submit nominations for deserving individuals who have left a lasting legacy on the college's athletic program. Nominations should include detailed information about the candidate's contributions and achievements.
