FLORENCE, Ind. — The Davis & Elkins College women's golf team wrapped up the Belterra Classic at Belterra Golf Club with an eighth-place finish among 8 teams, posting a three-round total of 5,756 (+398) on March 30-31.
Marina Saviceva-Noti led the Senators with rounds of 86, 83, and 85 for a three-day total of 254. Grace Bronkella followed closely, shooting 90, 85, and 86. Alexis Herndon contributed rounds of 124, 122, and 119, while Laikyn Stevens carded 121, 123, and 126.
In round one, Saviceva-Noti posted an 86, with Bronkella shooting 90, helping the team stay competitive despite challenging conditions. Round two saw improvements from Saviceva-Noti and Bronkella, carding 83 and 85, respectively. In the final round, Saviceva-Noti shot 85, highlighting her consistency and determination throughout the tournament.
Ashland claimed the team title with a +54 total, followed by Wayne State (MI) at +82. The Senators faced a tough field but gained valuable experience heading into conference competition.
Davis & Elkins returns to action April 12-13 at the Mountain East Conference Spring Classic hosted by Fairmont State University at Green Hills Country Club in Fairmont, W. Va.
