Six Women's Lacrosse Athletes Named to MEC All-Conference Team

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Mountain East Conference announced the 2025 Women's Lacrosse all-conference teams on Saturday (April 26) afternoon. The All-MEC first team, second team, honorable mention, and all-freshman teams were voted on by the league's head coaches. 

Davis & Elkins was well-represented on the All-Mountain East Conference women's lacrosse teams, led by Ari Hinton earning First-Team All-MEC honors. Hinton recorded 20 goals and two assists in six conference games, posting a .426 shot percentage and collecting eight ground balls. Rylee Anderson was named Second-Team All-MEC after leading the Senators with 23 goals and three assists across eight league contests, highlighted by an impressive .561 shooting percentage and 18 ground balls. Ke'ya Stevens earned Honorable Mention All-MEC recognition, contributing 15 goals, 20 ground balls, and a team-high 23 draw controls while starting seven of eight games.

On the defensive end, Zoe Mackey anchored the unit and earned First-Team All-MEC honors, tallying 66 ground balls and forcing 34 turnovers across the season. Goalkeeper Megan Bauer secured Second-Team All-MEC honors, finishing conference play with 76 saves and a .437 save percentage while starting all eight games in net. Sierra Walesheck received Honorable Mention All-MEC accolades after recording 56 ground balls and 27 caused turnovers to help solidify the back line.

In a change from previous years, the MEC will announce the Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year on Sunday, May 4, upon the conclusion of the MEC Women's Lacrosse Championship.

MEC tournament play begins Sunday at 1 p.m. when fourth-seeded Wheeling hosts fifth-seeded Davis & Elkins. The winner advances to play at Frostburg State on Thursday, May 1, at 6 p.m. In the other semifinal, third-seeded Dominican will travel from San Rafael, California, to play at second-seeded Charleston on Thursday, May 1 at 3 p.m.
 
The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, May 4 at 1 p.m., at the site of the highest remaining seeded team.
