Hobson Sets School Record, Senators Earn All-MEC Honors In Second Day Of G-MAC/MEC Championship Competition

CANTON, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College men's and women's swimming teams continued competition at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC)/Mountain East Conference (MEC) Championships on Thursday, highlighted by a school record and multiple All-MEC performances at the C.T. Branin Natatorium.

Women's 100 Butterfly
Julianne Hobson led the way for the Senators, breaking her own school record in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 58.72 to finish 13th overall. The performance secured her Second-Team All-MEC honors. Lauren Lockwood also earned All-MEC recognition, finishing 17th in 1:00.26 to claim Honorable Mention status.

Women's 400 Individual Medley
Becca Rodrigues placed 20th in the 400 IM, touching the wall in 5:08.32, while Julia Viera secured a 23rd-place finish in 5:18.23.

Men's 400 Individual Medley
Lasse Schrieken delivered a standout performance in the 400 IM, finishing fifth overall with a time of 4:10.51 to earn Second-Team All-MEC honors. Payton Williamson added another strong showing for the Senators, placing seventh in 4:14.29.

Men's 200 Freestyle
Elie Content contributed to the team score with a 16th-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle, recording a time of 1:47.59.

Women's 400 Medley Relay
The relay team of Lockwood, Maria Lugo, Hobson, and Daphne McCann placed seventh in the 400 medley relay, clocking in at 4:09.62 to add 46 points to the team total.

Men's 400 Medley Relay
The team of Spencer Willey, Williamson, Schrieken, and Content secured a fifth-place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:34.16, earning Honorable Mention All-MEC honors and 50 points for the Senators.

Team Standings After Day 2
The D&E men's team sits in sixth place with 260 points, while the women's team ranks seventh with 187 points.
