EMORY, Va. — The Davis & Elkins College wrestling team delivered a strong showing at the Wasps Open, hosted by Emory & Henry University, with multiple top-four finishes across weight classes.

Bradden Galassi (165-174): Galassi led the Senators with a second-place finish, scoring a team-high 26.5 points. He showcased technical dominance with multiple wins by technical fall, including a 17-2 victory over UNC Pembroke's Hunter Macklin and a 16-0 result against Bluefield State's Sagbe Sieh. Galassi also secured wins by decision and medical forfeit before falling in the final match.

Luke Shaffer (133): Shaffer earned second place, contributing 8.0 points. He opened with a 12-2 major decision over Bluefield State's Luke Roberts and edged teammate Nicholas Ammirati in a tight 5-3 decision.

Richard Davis (141-149): Davis placed third, scoring 14.0 points. His performance included back-to-back falls, pinning UNC Pembroke's Cristopher Salgado in 1:50 and Fairview's Job Brown in just 1:05. Davis capped his day with a 15-3 major decision.

Garrett Eddy (197-285): Eddy also placed fourth, amassing 14.5 points. He secured two victories by fall, including a swift pin over UNC Pembroke's Perry Riggle in 1:56. Eddy added a 22-4 tech fall against Orrin King (King, Tenn.).
