FROSTBURG, Md. - Frostburg State took four of six singles matches to ease past Davis & Elkins 5-2 in women's tennis here Friday.
The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead by securing the doubles point, but D&E's
Karen Saucedo and
Eloise Hutton managed to take their #3 match by 6-3 score.
In the singles, the Senators'
Erin Laubscher and
Liebe Oosthuizen continued their April hot streaks, each claiming a win in three sets.
Laubscher overcame a set down start, and was 2-4 down in the deciding set before rattling off four consecutive games for a hard-fought games for the 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win.
Oosthuizen won for the fourth straight match, pulling away in the third for a 6-2, 5-7, 6-1 decision at the #4 line.
The Senators will conclude their season on Sunday when they visit West Virginia State for a 12noon start.
