FROSTBURG, Md. -- The Davis & Elkins College swimming teams competed against Frostburg State University on October 19, 2024, and the men's team secured some impressive victories, despite the overall team result. Key highlights for D&E's men's swimmers included:

200 Medley Relay: The team of Payton Williamson, Edwin Li, Elie Content, and Jose Robles claimed first place with a time of 1:50.01, outpacing Frostburg's top relay team.

50m Freestyle: Jose Robles tied for first in a thrilling finish, clocking in at 25.21, sharing the top spot with Frostburg's Dylan King.

200m Butterfly: Payton Williamson delivered a strong performance, taking first with a time of 2:16.89, pulling away from the field with a dominant final 50 meters.

200m Breaststroke: Edwin Li showcased his strength in the breaststroke, winning the event with a time of 2:28.96, maintaining a consistent pace throughout the race.
Though Frostburg State ultimately came out on top in the meet, the standout individual performances by D&E's swimmers provided exciting moments and valuable points for the team.
The D&E women's team also put in a commendable effort during their meet against FSU. While Frostburg claimed the overall victory, the Senators had strong individual performances. Notably, Savannah Foley earned second place in the 200m Freestyle with a time of 2:23.23, keeping pace with Frostburg's top swimmers. In the 200m Individual Medley, Becca Rodrigues placed fourth, clocking in at 2:49.25, and Julianne Hobson delivered a solid swim in the 200m Butterfly, finishing third with a time of 2:48.11. The women's relay team also performed well, securing a third-place finish in the 200m Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:59.20, highlighted by strong swims from Foley, Hobson, Rodrigues, and Daphne McCann.
