West Liberty, W.Va. -- The Senators wrestling team finished 6th at the 2024 MEC Wrestling Championship behind some strong individual efforts. Glenville State won the team championship followed by West Liberty, Fairmont State and Frostburg State. Notre Dame just narrowly edged the Senators for 5th place while Wheeling finished in 7th.

The top performers for the Senators included:

Richard Davis placed 4th in the 141 weight class to earn the Senators 10 points.

Gabriel Pujadas placed 5th in the 157 weight class to earn the Senators 8.5 points.

Bradden Galassi placed 4th in the 165 weight class to earn the Senators 8 points.

Garrett Eddy placed 3rd in the 184 weight class to earn the Senators 14.5 points.

Joshua Sanders placed 5th in the 197 weight class to earn the Senators 6.5 points.
