ELKINS, W.Va. -- The Helper Helper report for the 2022-2023 academic year is in and three Davis & Elkins athletic teams are near the top of the list in service hours for their sport at the NCAA Division II level.
Helper Helper is a volunteer tracking app and management platform utilized by colleges, universities, and companies across the country that allows members to track community service hours in an easy-to-use way. It also allows these groups to see how their service hours match up against others of similar size or interest.
Davis Elkins' swim teams were near the top of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving teams list. The men's program finished second nationally, while the women were third in service hours. The Senator wrestling team finished fifth among DII wrestling programs.
In all, NCAA Division II programs logged 113,635 hours of service among 2,805 service opportunities.
At Davis & Elkins, over 13,000 hours of service were recorded with an estimated economic impact of over $37,000.
