BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- The Mountain East Conference announced its Women's Lacrosse award winners and all-conference teams Tuesday and Davis & Elkins had four honorees.

Ari Hinton and Marissa Cuevas were named to the All-MEC First Team and Griselle Rosado was named All-MEC Second Team. Shanyn Furlong was named to the MEC All-Freshman Team.

Hinton, an attack specialist, leads D&E in all major offensive categories. She leads the Senators in points, goals, assists, shots, and shots on goal. She is second in the MEC in shots per game, third in points per game, and fourth in both goals and assists per game. Hinton was an All-MEC Second Team selection and a member of the MEC All-Freshman Team a year ago.

The Senators' starting goalie, Cuevas repeats as a First-team pick. She has 249 saves this season and a .539 save percentage. She leads the Senators in ground balls with 56. Cuevas made history as the first goalie in Senator history to make 500 saves. D&E leads the MEC in saves, saves per game, and save percentage. They also have the lowest goals against average. Cuevas is also currently second overall in NCAA Division II in saves per game and fourth in save percentage. Cuevas was 2022 MEC Defensive Player of the Year.

Rosado is second to Hinton in goals with 24, shots with 57, and shots on goal with 48. Her 26 points this season are third-best on the team.  

Furlong led the Senators in caused turnovers this season with a program record 25. Her 36 ground balls this season are second only to Cuevas.

Frostburg State won the regular season title and took home three of the four major postseason honors. Neila Haney was named both Offensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, while Taylor Sindall was named Coach of the Year. Notre Dame's Piper Hammond was named Defensive Player of the Year.
