BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- The Davis & Elkins College women's tennis team traveled to Buckhannon, West Virginia to take on West Virginia Wesleyan College in a friendly match. The Bobcats were able to take the doubles point off the Senators but not without a fight. The Bobcats took 3rd doubles by a score of 6-1 and 2nd doubles with a score of 6-4.
The Senators did not allow this setback to keep them down for long as the Senators were able to take a victory by
Taylour Newman at 1 singles with a score of 6-2 6-0 to even up the match score to 1-1. Sophomore
Carter Nettina was able to add another point for the Senators at 2nd singles with a score of 6-4 6-1. This would bring the overall match score to 2-1 in favor of the Senators, but the Bobcats were a little too strong and took 3,4,5 singles to take the match 4-2.
D&E looks to get back to their winning ways when they take on Fairmont State on April 16 at 12pm in a important conference match.
