ELKINS, W.Va. – Coach
Jerry Boland's Davis & Elkins College wrestling team will have three wrestlers competing in the NCAA Championships this weekend at the Chaifetz Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Vincent Scollo a sophomore from Jackson, New Jersey qualified for nationals at the 133-weight class. Scollo is 23-6 on the season, he claimed the Mountain East Conference championship and finished third at regionals.
Junior
Craig Cook from Burlington, New Jersey is currently 23-4 on the season. Cook took home both the MEC and Regional Championships competing at the 149-weight class.
Noah Tarr a senior from Blairsville, Pennsylvania is finishing up his career at D&E in a big way. Tarr has earned 105 career wins. He currently has a 26-7 record this season. Tarr finished third at the MEC Championships and second at regionals wrestling at the 157-weight class.
The tournament starts Friday at 12:00pm with preliminaries and the first round. At 6:00pm on Friday the second round will start and the 1
st and 2
nd rounds of consolation matches. On Saturday, the semi-finals we begin at 11:00am. Also, Saturday morning 3rd round consolation, consolation semi-finals, and 3rd, 5th, 7th Place Matches will take place. At 7:40pm Saturday evening will be the parade of All-Americans. The Championship matches will start at 8:00pm.
