CALIFORNIA, Pa. – The Davis & Elkins men picked up a 139-123 win over Frostburg State University, while the Senator women fell to Frostburg State and California University of Pennsylvania in a swimming double-dual.
The D&E women dropped a pair of dual meets on Saturday. Frostburg State bested the Senators 139-67, while Cal-U picked up the 179-81 win.
For the D&E women,
Bryanna Gollmer finished second in the 1000 Yard Freestyle and third in the 500 Yard Freestyle with times of 11:37.04 and 5:40.35, respectively. Casey
Hayford finished second in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:04.02. Shelby Fuller picked up a first-place finish in the 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:39.07. She also finished second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:14.21.
Becca Rodrigues add a third-place finish in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:25.02.
In the men's meet, four swimmers won both the 100 and 200 of the stroke events.
Jiwh Santos picked up wins in the 100 and 200 freestyle with times of 48.87 and 1:49.21, respectively.
Geoff Dixon won the 100 backstroke (55.72) and 200 backstroke (2:03.45).
Edwin Li won the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke with times of 57.97 and 2:14.68, respectively. Viggy Muley won both butterfly events, with a time of 54.29 in the 100 and 2:03.91 in the 200.
Enrique Garcia added another win in the 50 freestyle and a second-place finish in the 200 breaststroke.
The 200 medley relay of Dixon, Garcia, Muley, and Santos picked up a win in a time of 1:41.40.
The Senators will be back in action on Friday, November 5th at 6pm at Notre Dame College.
