BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. – Davis & Elkins senior attack Angelina Horan claimed Mountain East Conference (MEC) Offensive Player of the Week honors, the league announced Monday afternoon.
 
Horan powered the Senators with 11 goals and a pair of assists over the week during the team's Spring Break trip, also registering 13 draw controls, picking up seven ground balls and causing two turnovers.
 
After being held off the scoresheet in the season opener against Lynn, Horan followed it up with six goals and two assists against Lander on March 4. She capped the week with five goals on 14 shots in a 15-12 victory against Southern Wesleyan on March 7.
 
Three of Horan's 11 goals came on free position attempts, including two against Lander.
 
The Lothian, Md. native set the program record for points (86) in a season during the 2019 campaign and sits just one point shy of 100 for her D&E career.
 
D&E plays a pair of home games this week, welcoming Edinboro to Nuttall Field on March 11 at 4:00 PM before facing Maryville on March 13 at 3:00 PM.
