SALEM, W. Va --
Closing out their dual meet schedule on Saturday, the Davis & Elkins College swim teams took down in-state rival Salem, with the men edging the Tigers by a narrow 133-127 deficit, and the women defeating Salem 158-95 at the SU Pool.
The Men were led by
Ryan Clement, winner of the 500-yard and 1000-yard Freestyle events, as well as teaming with
Vignesh Muley,
Kamren McKinney-Lyons, and
Jiwh Santos to win the 400-yard Relay event.
Geoff Dixon was also a two event winner on the day, winning the 100-yard Backstroke and edging teammate
Gavin Burnham in the 200-yard Backstroke.
Muley would also win the 100-yard Butterfly, edging out teammate Burnham in the event.
On the Women's side,
Dru Mills was a two event winner, finishing first in the 200-yard Freestyle and 200 IM event, as well as finishing first in the 400-yard Relay with teammates
Jana Hummel,
Abhigna Anand, and Nora Pierre, who would also take first in the 100-yard Breaststroke.
Senior
Jaime Boulier finished first in two events, winning the 200-yard Backstroke and 500-yard Freestyle events.
Senior
Mia Ellison (1000-yard Freestyle) and Barbie Bernal (200-yard Butterfly) also took first in their events for D&E on the afternoon.
The Senators will spend their next few weeks preparing for the upcoming GMAC/MEC Swimming Championships, which will take place from February 11th-16th in Canton, Ohio.
