HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. —
Clifton Ruggiero's dominant performance at 157-lbs. was the highlight of Davis & Elkins' performance at the Bob Quade Cyclone Open on Sunday, at Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Ruggiero took down Anthony Ulaszek of the Naval Academy Prep School by pin in the championship, after taking down the #11 ranked 157 pounder in Division II in the semifinals. Three other Senators placed on the weekend, as
Kyle Wojtaszek recovered from a first round loss to win five straight matches in the wrestle backs to finish 3rd at 174 pounds.
Craig Cook (133 lbs.) and
Noah Tarr (165 lbs.) placed in their weight classes, and three other D&E wrestlers recorded multiple wins in a field that included several Division I programs.
