LAST TIME OUT
  • Davis & Elkins capped an impressive day in North Carolina with two dual wins in its last competition on December 14.
  • The Senators began the tri-meet with a 27-23 win against Averett before holding off host Greesnboro College for a 30-24 dual win to go 2-0 on the day.
 
SCOUTING THE SENATORS
  • D&E won six matches by fall last time out, brining its total to 22 falls in dual competition this season.
  • CJ Thompson recorded a pair of wins by fall in the Greesnboro Tri-Meet. He fought up a weight class in the second match of the day against Luke Waggoner of Greesnboro College.
  • Clifton Ruggiero added two wins by fall, each coming in less than two minutes. He previously earned MEC Wrester of the Week accolades on December 10.
  • With two more wins on December 14, Craig Cook pushed his dual record to 13-1 this season.
  • The Senators have been aggressive early in matches, outscoring opponents 398-255 in dual action this season.
  • Davis & Elkins boasts a 3-2 record in dual matches this season.
