The Davis & Elkins College Men's Swimming team topped the visiting Salem Tigers 157-86 on Senior Day in the Myles Pool.
Pedro Gaspar starting the meet off in exciting fashion, breaking the school record in the 100-yard Backstroke event, placing 1st with a time of 52.95. Gaspar would also go on to win the 100 and 1000-yard Freestyle events, with times of 49.07 and 10:29.38, respectively.
Sam Windham picked up wins in the 200-yard Freestyle (1:51.63), and 100-yard Butterfly (54.88) events on his Senior Day.
Ricard Castan had two wins on the day, winning the 500-yard Freestyle (4:59.62), and 200 IM (2:07.24) events.
Aaron Strynar celebrated his Senior Day by winning the 200-yard Backstroke event in 2:06.87.
Gaspar, Windham, Castan, and Strynar comprised the 400-yard Freestyle Relay champion team, with a time of 3:23.47.
Kamren McKinney-Lyons added a win in the 50-yard Freestyle in 22.72.
The Senators will return to the pool at the GMAC/MEC Championships in Canton, Ohio from February 13-16.
