PHILIPPI, W.Va. – The Davis & Elkins College Men's Swimming team picked up a double-dual meet sweep of Alderson Broaddus and Malone Friday night.
 
The Senators defeated Malone 155-87 and defeated the hosts of Alderson Broaddus 186-12.
 
Davis & Elkins had three different swimmers sweep their events on the night, as Pedro Gaspar, Ricard Castan and Samuel Windham all earned three individual victories.
 
Gaspar, who was the Great Midwest swimmer of the week two weeks ago, dominated two more Great Midwest schools in the races, winning the 200-yard Freestyle (1:46.51), 200-yard Individual Medley (2:02.99), and the 100-yard Freestyle (47.32). All three of Gaspar's wins came by at least 2.5 seconds.
 
Castan also had a big night for the Senators, starting off the men's night by winning the 100-yard Backstroke (56.68). Castan then earned victories in the 1000-yard Freestyle (10:16.16) and the 200-yard Backstroke (2:02.80).
 
Windham earned his first victory of the night in the 100-yard Butterfly (54.36). He then edged out the competition for a pair of tight victories in the 200-yard Butterfly (2:03.17) and the 500-yard Freestyle (4:56.35).
 
Chris Carter and Kamren McKinney-Lyons also picked up victories for the Senators in the meet.
 
Carter had a first, second and third on the night, taking the win in the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:04.00).
 
McKinney-Lyons, who finished third to Carter in the 100-yard Breaststroke, and third to Gaspar in the 100-yard Freestyle, took first in the 50-yard Freestyle (22.95).
 
The Senators will now set their sights on the Corbiere-Merion Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. The two-day meet will take place November 17-18 in Delaware, Ohio.
