ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Women's Swim team opened up their home season with a 166-90 victory over Notre Dame College Friday night at the Myles Pool.
The Senators picked up 10 of the 14 event victories on the night, including three from
Eleonora Pierre.
Pierre, who is fresh off of helping the Davis & Elkins College Triathlon team qualify for the National Championships in early November, continued her hot streak with event wins in the 50-Yard Freestyle (25.87), 100-Yard Freestyle (56.61) and the 100-Yard Butterfly (1:04.62).

Dru Mills picked up a pair of wins as well, with her only defeat coming to Pierre in the 100-Yard Butterfly. Mills earned wins in the 200-Yard Freestyle (2:04.97) and the 500-Yard Freestyle (5:33.42), beating out teammate
Barbara Bernal in both events.
Bernal finished with three runner-up finishes on the night, also earning second in the 200-Yard Butterfly.
Catharina Delduque also picked up a pair of victories in her only two events on the night. Delduque earned victories in the 100-Yard Breaststroke (1:19.16) and the 200-Yard Breaststroke (2:51.10).
In the 100, Delduque edged out teammate
Kaila Howell, and in the 200, she edged out
Mia Ellison.
For Ellison, the 200 loss was her only defeat of the night, as she also claimed a pair of victories. Ellison won the 1000-Yard Freestyle (11:17.71) and the 200-Yard Individual Medley (2:26.42). She edged out Howell in the 200 IM, who finished with a pair of seconds and a third on the night.
The final win for the Senators came from
Jaime Boulier, who won the 200-Yard Backstroke with a 2:21.98.
Davis & Elkins will have a few weeks off before returning to action on November 9 with a short trip to Philippi. The Senators will face Malone and host Alderson Broaddus in a double dual meet set to start at 6 p.m.
