BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - The Davis & Elkins College women's swim team fell at the hands of West Virginia Wesleyan in the Battle of the Hills swim meet that took place Friday and Saturday at both schools' campuses.
Vitoria Issaho dos Santos and
Kenya Paiz led the way for the Senators, claiming four first place finishes apiece.
Paiz took top honors in the 100 Individual Medley (2:20.87), 400 IM (4:55.89), 100 IM (1:06.27) and 100 Breaststroke (1:13.53).
Santos was first in the 200 Freestyle (2:02.84), 200 Backstroke (2:20.03), 200 Freestyle (2:02.75) and the 100 Backstroke (1:03.19).
Paiz also earned a second place finish in the 200 Breaststroke (2:37.96).
Jaime Boulier captured a second-place finish in the 1,000 Freestyle (11:30.99).
Mia Ellison also had a second-place finish in the 500 Freestyle (5:39.25).
Davis & Elkins will return to action on Saturday, when the Senators entertain Salem International as part of Senior Day for Paiz and Santos.
