Box Score CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The Davis & Elkins College Women's Tennis team fell to No. 49 Charleston 8-1 on Monday to open up the 2017-18 season.

The Senators made the trip to the southern part of the state and grabbed one of three games in doubles play to open up the match.

Kelsie Roby and Ester Bolmenas picked up an 8-3 victory over Bridget Dillon and Bri Gutherie.

However, it would be the only win for the Senators in the match, as the hosts would sweep through singles play.

Haileigh Carper had one of the best games at the No. 4 spot, as she fell to Alize Uyttenhove 6-4, 6-2.

Amanda Fewster also had a 6-4 defeat in her opening set of the No. 6 match. But, she fell 6-0 in the second set.
