CANTON, Ohio – The Davis & Elkins College Women's Swimming team fell to Malone University 173-104 in a dual meet Friday evening.
Vitoria Issaho dos Santos and
Kenya Paiz each picked up a pair of wins and a second-place finish in the event, while Jamie Boulier and
Mia Ellison also earned wins.
Ellison started off with a win in the opening individual event of the night, winning the 1000-yard Freestyle with an 11:16.85.
Issaho dos Santos would get the next win for the Senators, taking claim to the 100-yard Backstroke event.
Kenya Paiz would follow it up with a win in the 100-yard Breaststroke, edging out a .22 second win with a 1:12.30.
The duo would complete the same feat in the 200 version of the events a little later, as Issaho dos Santos won the 200-yard Backstroke with a 2:16.81, while Paiz claimed the 200-yard-Breaststroke with a 2:35.87.
Issaho dos Santos would also swim to a second-place finish in the 100-yard Butterfly with a 1:03.34. Paiz would claim a second in the 400-yard Individual Medley with a 4:57.53.
Boulier would claim the last win for the Senators with a victory in the 500-yard Freestyle, touching in with a 5:28.73 to beat Ellison, who finished with a 5:36.07 for second place.
Bouiler would also have a second-place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle, finishing with a 2:04.36.
Ellison would also pick up a podium finish in the 400-yard Individual Medley, taking third with a 5:15.06.
Victoria Fletcher (200-yard Freestyle, 2:12.81) and
Hannah Hale (200-yard Butterfly, 2:31.95) would claim the other top three finishes for the Senators on the night, each taking third.
The Senators will return to action next Friday, taking on Alderson Broaddus at 6 p.m. at the Myles Pool.
