NORRISTOWN, Pa. — The Davis & Elkins College men's golf team finished seventh at the Thomas Jefferson University Fall Invitational, held Sept. 23-24 at Jeffersonville Golf Club.
The Senators finished the three-round tournament at 76-over par, recording team scores of 24-over 308 in the opening round, 27-over 311 in the second round and 25-over 309 in the final round.
Lucio Pavicich led Davis & Elkins individually, tying for 17th overall at 17-over par. Pavicich opened with a 1-over 71 before carding an 81 in the second round and closing with a 75 in the final round.
Hugo Mayorga followed in a tie for 23rd at 18-over par. Mayorga posted rounds of 76, 76 and 76 for the Senators.
Wouter Vondeling finished tied for 30th at 22-over par after rounds of 78, 78 and 76, while Isaac Gregson tied for 32nd at 23-over par with scores of 79, 76 and 78.
Luke Grilliot rounded out the D&E lineup in a tie for 51st at 31-over par, carding rounds of 79, 77 and 85.
Competing individually, Jaime Regan finished tied for 40th at 26-over par. Regan improved throughout the tournament, shooting an 87 in the opening round, followed by a 74 and 75.
St. Thomas Aquinas claimed the team title at 42-over par, edging Post by one stroke. Wilmington (Del.) finished third at 58-over par.
