ELKINS, W.Va. — The Davis & Elkins College volleyball team fell to West Liberty, 3-1, Tuesday night at the McDonnell Center.

The Senators dropped the first two sets, 25-15 and 25-19, before battling back to take the third set, 27-25. West Liberty closed out the match with a 25-15 win in the fourth set.

Aliceya Ciftcioglu led D&E with nine kills and added 12 digs. Kaylee Vanjo and Khayla Garrett each recorded seven kills, while Liene Dujin finished with 18 assists and six digs.

Neve Norris provided a strong serving performance with six aces and added nine digs. Ciftcioglu also recorded one ace.

D&E finished with 35 kills, 21 assists, nine aces, one block and 49 digs. West Liberty totaled 44 kills, 25 assists, 11 aces, one block and 56 digs.

West Liberty's Amira DuPree led all players with 16 kills.

The Senators will return to action Friday, Sept. 25, traveling to Frostburg State for a 7 p.m. Mountain East Conference match.
