PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Davis & Elkins College wrapped up the second round of the NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championships on Tuesday, finishing the day in 17th place with a two-round total of 604 (+28) at PGA National Resort's Champions Course.
The Senators face a steep climb heading into Wednesday's final round of stroke play. The top eight teams after 54 holes will advance to match play, with the current cut line sitting at +9.
Freshman Aidan Talent led the Senators on Tuesday with a tournament-best round of 3-under-par 69, vaulting himself back to +4 overall. Elias Jarn carded a solid 74 (+2) to stay at +3 for the championship.
Zak Collins finished with a 78 (+6), while Isaac Gregson and Lucio Pavicich rounded out the team scoring with rounds of 82 (+10) and 86 (+14), respectively.
The final round of stroke play begins Wednesday morning as the Senators look to finish strong in their postseason run.
