ELKINS, W. Va. - Head wrestling coach, Andrew Colborn, has announced he is resigning from the position, effective immediately.
Colborn has spent two seasons leading the Senators wrestling team.
During his tenure, Colborn coached a number of All-MEC Academic team members (3.7-4.0 GPA) as well as Commissioner's Honor Roll members. His teams were consistently among the top in Division II for community service hours, finishing fifth among NCAA DII wrestling programs last season.
"Andrew has brought great passion for wrestling to our program and we appreciate all that he has done for D&E wrestling," said Jeff Eisen, D&E Interim Director of Athletics. "We wish him well as he moves on the next step in his coaching career."
Assistant Coach Braedon Clopton will serve as the interim head coach. A national search for Colborn's replacement will begin immediately.
