STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- The Davis & Elkins Men's Golf Team placed fourth of seven teams in the two-day, three-round West Liberty Invitational, held at Steubenville Country Club. The Senators shot rounds of 303 (+15), 295 (+7), and 300 (+12) on their way to a three-round total of 898 (+34).
Matin Eisa led D&E with consistent rounds of 74, 73, 74 to finish eleventh overall at 221 (+5).
Evan Lewis (74, 76, 75) and Elias Jarh (78, 72, 75) ended up in a four-way tie for sixteenth place at 225 (+9).
Matthew Crookes shot rounds of 77, 76, and 79 to finish at 232 (+16). He finished in a tie for twenty-eighth.
Leonardo Turra rebounded nicely after an opening round 84 to shoot second and third round scores of 74 and 76 to end at 234 (+18) and finish tied at thirty-eighth.
The invitational was won by Goldey Beacom at 867. Glenville State was second (880) and California, Pa. (894) was third. Pitt-Johnstown (899), West Liberty (902), and Clarion (931) rounded out the field.

The Senators play next at the Mountain East Conference Championships October 2-4. The tournament will be held at The Grand Resort in Warren, Ohio, site of last year's NCAA Division II National Championships.
