BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Davis and Elkins senior defenseman, Alex Estrada earned Mountain East Conference Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors for his efforts in a pair of wins last week over the University of Charleston and California University of Pennsylvania.

Estrada provided the only goal in D&E's win over No. 1 Charleston last week, handing the Golden Eagles their first conference loss since 2016. In the Senators' non-conference win over California, Estrada added another goal and worked defensively to post shutouts in both contests. The Senators have forced shutouts in each of their four contests thus far.

Notre Dame's Ned Dry was the MEC Offensive Player of the week.
