CLEVELAND, Ohio – Davis & Elkins College men's soccer senior forward Johan Magaña has been named to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA) All-America Second Team, recognizing his exceptional performance during the 2024 season.
A native of Fellsmere, Florida, Magaña delivered a stellar season, leading the Mountain East Conference (MEC) with 16 goals and 34 points. He also ranked second in the MEC with four game-winning goals. His accomplishments placed him among the nation's best, finishing in the top 10 in Division II in goals, points, goals per game, and points per game.
In addition to his All-America selection, Magaña earned First-Team All-MEC and First-Team All-Region honors, further cementing his status as one of the premier players in the country.
"Congratulations to Johan on this well-deserved recognition," said Head Coach Meir Lewin. "He performed admirably over his two seasons with us and we are immensely proud of his efforts."
Magaña's impact extended beyond the stats sheet as he played a pivotal role in leading the Senators to the MEC finals in 2023, and the semifinals this past season. His consistent excellence has set a high standard for the program.
The D2 CCA All-America teams are selected by sports information directors across the nation to honor the best players in Division II.
